GOOGLE DRIVE - I keep a copy of everything in HTLM in a folder which makes it super easy search using their 'Search within folder'. Once you have a workflow setup, you'd be surprised just how clean and simple this workflow can be. I can also use something like Working Copy on iOS to sync all my note thru GitHub. I can also use built-in search in the Finder on Mac to search for words, phrases, or #hashtags. I also love using Typora (my fave markdown editor). And if I get annoyed with that, I can move to Bear on Mac/iOS. I sync it all with a free private GitHub repository. I know I'm not going to be locked out or end-of-life'd. I like the idea of free and open markdown. MARKDOWN - I exported all my notes using Mark Koester's tutorial. As much as I've loved Evernote in the past, I've got almost zero confidence that they'll reach feature parity with themselves for a year or two. So after 9 years of being a Premium user, I've moved out, and my account is now just a cold archive. I tried the new iOS apps (which I don't mind) but the new Mac app really is a big step back for me.
